Clarkson will be touring in support of her album, Stronger, and the Fray are promoting their third effort, Scars & Stories. The original “American Idol” will hit the road on July 21, after her mentoring duties on “The Voice” are finished and presumably after she’s done mentoring on the new ABC show “Duets,” which launches on May 24. Clarkson will be promoting her album “Stronger” and the third single “Dark Side,” the follow-up to the No. 1 title track. She lent her advice to the young singers on “The Voice” and racked up two wins at the recent Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony.
The Fray is Isaac Slade (pianist/vocalist), Joe King (guitarist/vocalist), Dave Welsh (guitarist), and Ben Wysocki (drummer). The Denver-based foursome formed in 2002 after high school friends Slade and King bumped into each other at a local guitar shop. The band achieved national success with their first single, “Over My Head (Cable Car),” which became a top ten hit in the U.S., and the release of their second single, “How to Save a Life,” brought them worldwide fame. fray
