Stewart, who has been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, was added as a solo artist during the 1994 ceremony. He has sold more than 250 million records worldwide.. He will celebrate his 75th birthday on the 10,000th episode of Entertainment Tonight on Jan. 10.. Stewart – who’s currently facing legal action over an alleged assault incident – recently released an orchestral album of some of his older songs, You’re in My Heart, but admitted he wasn’t fully satisfied with the recording of a new track, “Stop Loving Her Today,” which came out as a single in November. “I think we might have gilded the lily with the strings on it, and we might do a remix where we take them down a little,” he said. “They’re a bit too loud.” He also admitted he wouldn’t pay to attend an orchestral concert. “I told them I’d like to hear a couple of takes and see what they can do with these songs," he explained. "I was pleasantly surprised with what they came back with.”

Cheap Trick is an American rock band from Rockford, Illinois, formed in 1973. The band's classic lineup consisted of vocalist Robin Zander, guitarist Rick Nielsen, bassist Tom Petersson, and drummer Bun E. Carlos.. Cheap Trick released its debut album in 1977 and first found success in Japan with the release of its second album, In Color, later that year. The band would achieve mainstream popularity in the United States in 1979 with its breakthrough album Cheap Trick at Budokan. Cheap Trick reached the Top 10 in the U.S. charts in 1979 with the Budokan live version of "I Want You to Want Me" and topped the charts in 1988 with "The Flame".

The touring follows Stewart’s latest studio album, You’re In My Heart: Rod Stewart With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra; the career-spanning project, which features revamped versions of his classic songs, blends his original vocal tracks with new symphonic arrangements. And he’s already eyeing another sonic experiment for his next LP. “I’m trying to put together a country record,” Stewart told Rolling Stone. “Not just country music, but folk music and older stuff I was brought up on. It’s an opportunity to let people hear another side of me.” .. Meanwhile, the singer is facing a misdemeanor count of simple battery following an altercation during a New Year’s Eve party at a Florida resort. Witnesses told police that Stewart’s son Sean pushed a security guard while Rod punched the alleged victim in the ribs area; after viewing security video footage, authorities called the Stewarts “primary aggressors” in the incident. Though neither were arrested, both Rod and Sean were ordered to appear at the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Complex on February 5th.
