Singer-songwriter, filmmaker and surfer Jack Johnson is coming to Jones Beach … and bringing his “From Here To Now To You” World Tour with him. In support of his sixth studio album, From Here To Now To You. Special Guest Amos Lee set for Jones Beach on June 7.
The summer headline tour brings Jack and his band to outdoor venues part of a busy 2014 world tour that will see Jack and the band headline shows and festivals around the world including stops in South America, Australia and Europe.
Last June, Johnson played his first concert in over a year as a last-minute headliner at Bonnaroo. The festival's organizers asked him to step in after the night's original headliners, Mumford & Sons, canceled so their bassist, Ted Dwane, could recover from surgery. He recounted how he got there in the form of a song at the festival. "[They said] can you get a band together in two days?" he sang, "I don't know, it's been a year or so since we've played these songs. Oh, what the hell. It's Bonnaroo!"
