Lynyrd Skynrd and the Doobie Brothers! In what promises to be a flat out legendary performance, two of the biggest classic rock bands of all time are heading to Jones Beach on Aug 23… Special guest Tom Hambridge and his band The Rattlesnakes

Fans know southern rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd from an extensive back catalog of hits that reaches to their most recent album “God & Guns,” the band’s highest charting release since 1977’s “Soul Survivors."

Skynyrd is arguably one of the most important classic rock bands of all time, with hits like Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man, and of course Freebird all radio mainstays for decades now. Despite having only one remaining member from their classic lineup, the band has been rebuilt with Johnny Van Zant, brother of the late Ronnie Van Zant on vocals, and supplemented by the spectacular guitarwork of Rickey Medlocke, who was briefly a member of Skynyrd before the band was signed.

The Doobie Brothers are known for two distinct phases - a first as a hard-rockin’ outfit backed by singles “Listen to the Music” and “China Grove,” and a second as a more soulful group led by Michael McDonald and charting with “What a Fool Believes” and “Takin’ it to the Streets.” Their newest is “World Gone Crazy.”
